In an international context of great complexity, motivated by the Covid-19 that spread around the world, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games were held between July and September 2021. Considering the aforementioned context, the present study aimed to describe the positive cases of COVID-19 in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The data analyzed in this study were extracted from the List of Positive Cases of COVID-19 in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games issued by the International Olympic Committee. Data were recorded in absolute frequency and converted to relative frequency for descriptive purposes. There were 547 positive cases of COVID-19 at the Tokyo Olympic Games. The majority of positive cases were from residents of Japan who were located outside the Olympic Village. Tokyo was responsible for two thirds of the positive tests. Outsourced workers were the category most affected by positive cases. Thus, it is essential that if there is a new edition of the Olympic Games during the COVID-19 pandemic, access to vaccination is really made available to all people involved, regardless of the nature of this involvement, including especially the workforce that was not assisted in this regard by the International Olympic Committee in Tokyo 2020.
