This review aims to present the most recent work by Eloy Altuve Mejía ‘Sport, sociology, ideology, politics, power and globalization’. The authorial book is divided into five chapters and concentrates discussions on the Political Sociology of Sport, addressing it from the different perceptions of sport to the emergence of the area in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition to this context, the analysis of knowledge production that has been developed.
